Ocean Plastic Material
Oceanworks is a globally recognized and respected name in the supply of recycled ocean plastic. RSP is a partner of Oceanworks.co and we distribute the product in Asia and convert their product into many items sold around the world.
Oceanworks’ materials are used by brands like Clorox who brand their products with the Oceanworks Guarantee insignia, Clorox has extensive compliance departments that provide additional due diligence to ensure the material authenticity.
Most materials, like OCEANBOUND products, come with Oceanworks Guarantee + track and trace. The Oceanworks Guarantee covers compliance around all aspects of the material including collection, social and environmental. The documentation is very in depth.
Most materials also have the Zero Plastic Oceans (zeroplasticoceans.org) certification which is backed by GRS. They are a 3rd party certification provider and the accepted leader in ocean certifications. In general, the detailed proprietary supply chain certification is not available to send out because it is under our non-disclosure requirements with suppliers.
When you work directly with Oceanworks or RSP, a material order will come with an authenticity certificate.
If RSP is fabricating or molding your product, we can provide additional Certificate of Conformance that documents the material usage as well.

- RSP sells, imports and also offers molding at our controlled facility, RSP Technology, in Shenzhen China
- Available plastic resins include: ABS, HDPE, HIPS, LDPE, LLDPE, Nylon (PA6), Nylon (PA66), PC, PET, PP, PS, TPE Blend, and more…
- Certifications include European standard EN71 toy safe PP and FDA Letter of No Objection food safe PET

Recycled Ocean Plastic:
Extruded & Thermoformed
RSP has developed extruded ocean plastic sheets or rolls for thermoforming using OceanworksTM food grade PET that is safe to use for food contact. We have tested 1.0mm thick and found it works very well in 10-85% ocean plastic PET. Other thicknesses and modified materials are available.
RSP can supply the raw material in Asia, or extrude it into sheets, rolls or thermoformed depending your requirements.
The cost compares favorably to market prices for 30% recycled rPET (recycled PET) and has a much different story to tell consumers!
